About Me

***IMPORTANT: I'm currently very interested in:
- Creating/building my tiny home (construction, architecture, wood, insulation...)
- Living from music (managing, producing, recording, filming music, co-working).

So if you know anything about this and think you can teach me, contact me! :)

MY MOTTOS
Live life, go for all the experiences you can, and do your best.
Change all the "I should" for ''I will''.

ABOUT ME
I am a smile with legs :).
Someone creative that tries to inspire people.

Every further information you will have to figure it out by yourself or by the references ;).

* I am not French... but that's a long story :).
Oh! And I'm sort of a vegetarian.

PHILOSOPHY
Everyone deserves a chance. Even yourself.
So go out there, and try.
''Don't let a hard lesson harden your heart.''

''The boat is safe in the harbour, but that is not what it was made for.''

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been hosted all around Europe and Australia, I attend and create events, so I consider myself an active member of the community.

I join inspiring people and adventures in order to experience as much as possible.
I've mainly surfed other people's couches/rooms/floors, and hosted a few people home though my last partner got the references T_T.

Unfortunately, I get harrased by single man who want ''a drink'' as soon as I activate my account for hosting, so yeah, haven't been hosting that much.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I went for a trip in summer 2014 during one month, hitchiking with my guitar around Europe and being hosted by so many different people through CS. I just fell in love with it all.
And I discovered that it's true what they say: we don't make the trip, the trip makes us. I found myself. Or started this process that I guess never ends.

From May to December 2015, I travelled around Australia, Southeast Asia and west Europe, my second trip. Did CS specially in Australia and Europe, though once in Indonesia as well and a lot of volunteering!

Interests

Music is my passion.
I sing, I play piano and guitar, and I try to believe that the rest of the instruments sound good in my hands (I'm trying to learn violin and harmonica, but have a huge interest for almost any of them). Even when it's terrible. In that case... I just laugh at myself, I strongly believe that's healthy :).

I love nature and people.
Silence in big cities.
Non-stress cooking.
No stress in general.
Dancing with eyes closed.
Travelling.
Living simple.
People. Definitely people.
The wonderful world we live in.
Dreaming big.
Believing the word impossible has 2 letters to be removed.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I like visually poetic movies. Some on my list: Captain Fantastic, Big Fish, P.S. I Love you, Patch Adams, Into the wild, The host, How I live now, The lovely bones... and movies with a great soundtrack: Alabama Monroe/The Broken Circle Breakdown, Blues Brothers, Begin Again, Inside Llewin Davis, Into the Wild...
And some weird movies like Inception.
And Documentaries. May I suggest one? HUMAN (it's free on youtube).

Musicals * - *.

Music: I'm up to almost everything (except techno, heavy metal and hard rock). I'm slowly falling in love with country, rock 'n' roll and blues, but I listen most of the time to pop-folk songs.
I guess it depends on which mood and ambiance I am.
Someone that recently caught my breath: Joel McKerrow.

Books:
The alchemist - Paulo Coelho.
Life is a dream - Calderón de la Barca.
Momo - Michael Ende.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(Apart from quitting my job and booking a one way flight to Australia, surprising my partner there and ending up travelling during 8 months...)

Little things can be amazing.

When hitch-hiking from Segovia to Barcelona everything was going wrong: hitch-hiking took so much longer than expected under a burning sun, my couchsurfing host changed his plans and didn't tell me, I ended up sleeping on the street with some nice homeless people... I ''got up'' early the next day and decided it had to be for a reason. That day I found a direct ride to Montpellier, a kind truck driver who offered me something to eat and drink. I got lost in Montpellier, I hitch-hiked to the city center, the first car stopped and a nice old man who was going for a ride on his boat picked me up and invited me to go with him. I played music on the boat with my guitar and swam in the clearest water ever.
That's one of my greatest memory until now. It was really worth it :).

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning never ends.
Ad so does teaching.

Things I'd like to do/learn: build my house, live off-grid for a while, go to jam sessions (music and poetry) all over the world, go volunteering to Africa, tap dancing, fly in an helicopter, climbing, playing with an orchestra or composing for it, musical theater, make a lamp, swim with wild dolphins, make pasta out of scratch, go on tour with a band, parachuting...

Things I can teach: Spanish, English, French, basic guitar, basic piano, basic knitting, basic cooking, being spontaneous, swimming, eat with your hands, ride a bike, positive thinking, how to stop complaining, how to travel with almost no money... Test me :).

We say in Spanish: Nunca te acostarás sin saber una cosa más (you will never go to bed without knowing one more thing/having learnt something).

What I Can Share with Hosts

My music, food, stories... I believe when people connect, there's always something to share :).

The stories of how I achieved amazing things: how I surprised my partner in Australia while he was travelling around the world, how I 'rode' an elephant, how I lived in a campervan for a month, how I backpacked around the world without expecting it and with not much money, how I hitchhiked for a month and a half through Europe with 50€, how I learnt to play the guitar thanks to not going to University, how I inspired people while hitchiking... I'm a box full of beautiful stories :).
