About Me

I once introduced myself during one of those terrible ice-breaker games as a, "Vegetarian-Turkish-Red headed-Scot from Hawaii".

Raised in Seattle, WA, USA, as a Vegetarian, now addicted to chicken. I love anything sun related, although my skin tends to disagree. Half my ping pong game is smack talk. I love climbing, ultimate frisbee, my 6 year old cousin Dylan, and sleeping tent-less on a good mountain.

As far as I can tell, life is about making memories. So, let's spark some neuronal connections. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's a whole world of beautiful places to see and wonderful people to meet. Couchsurfing is the perfect utility to make those things happen.

Music, Movies, and Books

Les Miserables, Cloud Atlas, Captain Fantastic, So I Married an Axe Murderer (best Mike Myers EVER).

Doo-wop, ska, classic rock, funk, hip-hop, swing, jazz and some classical when it's time to feel super epic -like the beginning of a couchsurfing adventure :P.

The Motorcycle Diaries, A Prayer For Owen Meany, Dandelion Wine, The Road, The Universe in a Single Atom, The Hobbit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered at a hospital in Madurai, India for two months.

More recently, I worked 80-100 hour weeks as a Field Organizer on the Bernie Sanders campaign, for half a year, and didn't lose my mind. :P

Teach, Learn, Share

I can dabble on the guitar, am proficient in most sciences (pre-med), have been a personal trainer (let me know if you want a workout routine to keep off the travel pounds :P), can write JavaScript like a monster, build self-managing volunteer teams, and make awesome vegan soup - in fact, it has been dubbed 'Super Soup'.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always happy to contribute to the household in someway, maybe cook or help in the garden.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, England, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Scotland, Spain, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In
