About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life is temporary. Therefore I want to spend as much of my time as I can exploring what life has to offer.

ABOUT ME

I've rewritten this thing so many times. I find myself constantly going through changes. I'll read my profile and realize I'm not that person anymore.

You would think talking about yourself would be easy because who knows you better than... yourself? But its so difficult. I don't want to sound like any particular type of person because then people already pass judgments on who I am before they actually get to know me.

Well pretty much I am on this path of self improvement, enlightenment, whatever label you want to give it. I want to be a better person and contribute to the good of the world because it feels right & we need more of that. I would consider myself to be a "go with the flow" type. I enjoy change and going into the unknown, no matter how much it freaks me out. That's when I feel most alive. That's why I enjoy backpacking. Its about stepping into the unknown in a sense. To me, that is freedom.

I'm really laid back and open minded. I can get along with just about any type of person. You will almost always find me laughing or smiling, most of the time for no reason at all. If I can make someone else smile or feel good, then I feel as if I an doing my part to make the world a better place.

I am an introvert by nature and enjoy my alone time but I also enjoy going out and being around a lot of people. Its all about balance.

I'm really just all about being myself and listening to how I feel/ following those nudges that tell us we should do a certain thing. That has guided me this far through my adult life.

PHILOSOPHY

As far as you'll ever remember, you only have one life to live. Stay present and make the most of every minute of your time. Follow your heart and everything will fall into place.

I'm really looking forward to being on the opposite side of the spectrum and hosting travelers. I'm not ready to travel again at this moment, but hosting is like bringing the traveling to you.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: My reading list keeps getting longer and longer. I need to start knocking some of them off. But I enjoy books that are books that make you think and bring a new perspective to you. Right now, I've been really into James Baldwin.

Movies: City of God, Amelie, Baraka, Dead Presidents, The Good, the Bad & the Ugly, Enter the Void, Waking Life, Attack the Block, Shawn of the Dead. I really love documentaries. I'll add more when I can think of them

TV: Haven't had cable in years but some shows I've enjoyed watching online: Trigun, Entourage, Trailer Park Boys, Martin, The Jamie Foxx Show, National Geographic & for some odd reason I really love those tv documentary shows about people in prison lol

Music: Some of my favorite artists right now: Blu, Madlib, J Dilla, Jeremiah Jae, MF DOOM, Danny Brown, Mac DeMarco, Homeshake, Travis Scott, Kaytranada, Skepta, Connan Mockasin, Earl, Death Grips

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meeting the love of my life while traveling in Australia

10 day Vipassana meditation retreat near Montreal, Canada

I seen the Giza pyramids on a camel
back, which I'm sure millions of people have done. Only difference is, when I went to Giza, I was the ONLY one there. There were no other tourists, no noise, NOTHING. Just me, the camel, and the camel guides. I went during the summer of 2013 while the military coup was going on & there were all those protests and riots. It was pretty crazy but totally worth it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think that when we interact with other people, we teach/ learn from each other by sharing who we are.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share positive energy and a good time with hosts. I also have no problem helping out around the house, whether it be cleaning up around, washing dishes, etc.

Countries I’ve Visited
