About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I've hosted travelers many times throughout my last 5 years out in the Northwest and would be stoked to show you all around and meet you!

ABOUT ME

I am currently living with 2 other people, and we have 2 spare couches and some floor space for anyone willing to meet up and possibly crash on the floor. I am a somewhat less-than professional guitarist and composer and am currently working as a dog-walker mon-fri, but only for a few hours everyday. I enjoy books, especially philosophy, jazz, composing, writing, cigarettes, longboarding, coffee, the guitar, being an audiophile and all of the likes. My other two roommates are Tyler and Pete. Tyler, much like myself, studied philosophy and stays well read on Zizeck and David Foster Wallace from what I can tell. He is a salesman right now and loves audio production, EDM and cigarettes. Pete is our resident wildcard and is a former raft-guide from Montana and drummer for various school bands. He studied exercise science and partying-down. Pete enjoys being relatively hedonistic and is all about making every moment as intensely fun as possible. Have fun or die.

PHILOSOPHY

feel like I already talked about this twice so far....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just send me an email and I'd be happy to grab a drink with you at the very least, otherwise let me know if you need a place to crash and i'll try to get some time squared away.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had some pads lined up in the UK and Amsterdam, but ended up having to grab a ritzy hotel in Amsterdam and was kicked out of the UK for vagrancy, so I never got a chance to use it. My girlfriend has however, and she really really has good things to say about it. I've been without a home in foreign areas a number of times in my life, and the courtesy and graciousness of people has never failed to astound me. I'm just hoping to help share that experience with people in similar positons.

Music, Movies, and Books

(favorites in quotes) Anything by Huxley (Island) and Nietzsche (Human All Too Human), Sci-fi (children of Men), Horror (Antichrist), Comedy (Pineapple Express), k.... yeah.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's more about a certain feeling you have in a certain time and place than an amazing thing you've accomplished. I guess I've done a lot of cool things, but all of the most amazing things I've done and seen have been because of a positive mindset and not so much "Oh my god I went to Paris and Rome and it was glorious."

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, if you are at all interested in postmodernism, we have a pretty extensive collection of literature and philosophy. Mostly philosophy. I also happen to teach guitar lessons and music theory, so we could do that to? Otherwise we are professional party people, so I'm told, and I am looking forward to opening a small studio in a few years and Pete is hoping to build up a music venue somewhere around the area as well. We would be happy to discuss ideas and business matters. Talk about stocks and international trade. Yup, it'll be peachy.
