About Me

---- (Note 1: When I opened this couchsurfing account, did next to the beautiful Jenny, with whom we were partners for more than seven years in which we live, travel and grew a lot together. Right now our paths take us to different places. That is why I ¨re-set¨ my personal profile. But if you are able to cross paths with her too, I heartily recommend as she is a great person.
Note 2: I went to a bilingual school, where I learned enough English, but the truth is that I have a little rusty from lack of practice, especially writing. For that reason I helped myself with the quite unreliable google translator, if something does not make sense, I apologize. But if we need to communicate in English, I will try to give my best and I will practice, so thanks in advance :)

ACERCA DE MI/ABOUT ME

---- From childhood I started traveling with my family, and I could begin to notice that there is a lot of magic in it. I was lucky to live part of my childhood alternately in two very different contexts: the city of Mendoza, Argentina, and Puerto Bertrand, in the Chilean Patagonia.

The first is where I was born and have lived most of my life, a province of 1,500,000 inhabitants, situated at the foot of the Andes mountains. His most of the population is concentrated in the capital city following the normal course of growth, development and oferts (with its many pros and cons) of a ¨standard¨ place. The second is a small town of about 100 inhabitants, part of the region with less population density throughout Chile and is nestled on the banks of the birth of the great Baker river. There I spent the school holidays (December, January and February) since I was 5 to 15 years old.

These two worlds gave me the idea of the diversity and multiplicity of which we are part of and which turns part of us.

Waking my curiosity to explore.

----Once a friend I met on the road told me we had to learn to "surf the system"... I am up to that. I believe ¨learn¨ is the key word in the search for wellbeing. But also unlearning is very important, and gradually change as we find the best version of ourselves, which makes us feel more comfortable, in the environment of which we are part.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CÓMO PARTICIPO EN COUCHSURFING/HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

----Use the site to try to contact people living in different destinations that I get. The reason is that I think is the best way to know the area and customs of each region, without falling into the classic mass tourism which I consider a little accelerated and empty.

I think that always and everywhere there is an exchange in a meeting, and that the money, although perhaps the most widespread and clear, is impersonal, cold and often times just cruel. When this is set aside, solve otherwise, deeper and pure exchanges may occur, which benefits both parts that take place. I think that the traveler ¨pays¨ many times with the ¨magical¨ energy with he is charged, by the intensity with which each experience is lived, for the left flow and enter into communion with the timing of the destiny and its abundance, by the challenge of uncertainty, and the gratitude experienced by each contribution received.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some years ago with my brother we stayed in Malaysia and had our first great experience been hosted by couchsurfing there.
Traveling Patagonia with Jennifer we have been hosted several times by people I met working in my teens in tourism in the region, and other times had been lucky to crossed people who opened the doors of their houses almost without knowing us. We had also stayed at home of people contacted through the page (in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil and Bolivia), always happy to share with the hosts and their families.

In Mendoza I have host travelers with great satisfaction and hope to do it deeply when I stablish somewhere in a own place. Meanwhile I will continue traveling, growing.

Music, Movies, and Books

----I enjoy independent art cinema, good music (hopefully live) and literature. What it touches my soul, that moves me, the great stories.
Things made with passion!

Sometimes also something not so deep, but that make me fun and entertain.

----Encourage myself going into the world, finding that people with good intentions abound and that happiness goes far beyond what we can buy. Be open to new things and coincidences of life makes us constantly find amazing things: gestures, walks, places, animals, phrases, magic and everything you can imagine.

Fall in love.
Travel thousands of kilometers in hitchhiking.
Spend months and months of travel without paying for hosting.
Share and learn from homeless people who have spent years living on the streets.
Finding memorable works on the route.
Sailing ¨losses¨ maritime routes.
Approach to art (singing in buses, snow sculpting, be a part of a murga for example).
And many more anecdotes, but above all, there are many more amazing people I know, and what they have generated in me, than amazing things that I've done.
Learn that nothing is absolute, that each one of us is unique, and we can change modes of feeling and thinking we believed perpetual.
And what I find most amazing is to have lived very intense situations in which I felt unexpectedly get to another plane of consciousness, and have allowed me to review, challenge, and adopt changes to a healthier life (no alcohol / no drugs, legal and illegal / good food / sport / art). However, I share with people of all types and habits, glad to.

Teach, Learn, Share

----Share, teach, learn, learn, share, teach, teach, learn, share everything, always, it is a cycle, a virtuous circle.

Share is the beginning, from there both learn and teach.

What I Can Share with Hosts

----I think the most valuable thing I can offeris to show myself as I am with the strong will to build with them a beautiful friendship.
I like spending time at home, chatting about life, cooking and helping in any way possible to achieve a harmonious and enriching coexistence.
