About Me

CURRENT MISSION

change history (and if only it is mine)

ABOUT ME

2017 I decided to change my life once again. I donated most of my stuff, sold the rest and stored my personal belongings in two cardboard boxes in someone's basement. Equipped with my backpack and my passport I flew to Ukraine. Two years, 23 countries and 550 hrs on the trans-siberian railway later, I now decided to settle in Warsaw.

I fully appreciate the minimalism lifestyle I learnt and choose. The Big Five 4 Life gave me inspiration and I am working on making each day a museum day.

Besides experiencing everything that life has to offer I am also trying to:
1. become fluent in russian
2. learn to play the ukulele
3. stop my inability to move to a rhythm and learn how to dance bachata

Also with my journey I tried to understand the good and bad about different society systems. Being exposed to so many different cultures and having met so many incredible people, I set up my own little cultural project. Now in Poland I am actively diving into the polish culture and language.

I am eager to learn from anyone and anything that is happening to me. Happiness is finding beauty in simplicity. So if you feel like you want to be part of my journey I will be very grateful.

PHILOSOPHY

Everybody thought it is not possible until somebody came, who did not know and just did it.

It is not about how many moments you have in your life, it is about how many life you put in your moments

If you cannot change the atmosphere change your attitude

...the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Steve Jobs

Logic will bring you from A to B, Imagination will bring you everywhere.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

"As a global citizen, it is my duty to discover and learn from other cultures first hand" - Tony Ng

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While living in Berlin I created a little map for my surfers with stuff to do, see and eat. During my travels form changed and now they can be downloaded here:

https://cultivasu.com/travel/discover-the-world

Now in Warsaw I am working on my knowledge about the city. So I am happy to help with information and assistance about places I have been or traveling as such. I was helped so often it is normal to give whatever I can.

Otherwise I meet other couchsurfers on their journey and attend events to meetup and share experiences. Soon I set base in Warsaw, I am happy to host surfers again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly hosting and meeting up with travellers in Berlin. For the last two years mostly meeting up locals and travellers all around the CIS and a bit of surfing.

Interests

Living life in the moment

Challenging my comfort zone - over and over again with everything

Sharing and absorbing knowledge, impressions, ideas and above all good times.

Music, Movies, and Books

PASSPORTS - never found better stories elsewhere. Also I am pretty much into Daniel Silva's Gabriel Allon stories, I use to read some Paulo Coelho and of course books about controversial but fascinating personalities.

The tv show Scrubs is so fun. Made me think probably I should have become a doctor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well living life is quite amazing but for the sake of the question: hitchhiking a forklift at the macedonian border while the greek have been blocking it.

Teach, Learn, Share

A couchsurfer once told me: the world is my home why should not I have a look in every room?! - and I want to learn about them all with everything in it

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will share what ever I have and life experience I made and is worth to share.
