About Me
Hey everyone :)
I'm a 27 year old who can't confirm to everyone else's idea of 'normality'. I'm vegan (so is the BF, we generally come as a pair!), I(we) like heavy music, we're qualified Divemasters and are pretty set on retiring in a canal boat (or tumble-weed house, either will do!).
I always dreamed of going exploring as a teenager; in 2010 I went away for the first time and I've never been settled since! We've been away on two big trips across Asia and a few decent holidays on the way, hoping to reach every corner of the Earth if we can afford it!
My mum passed away this time last year so plans for the next trip were put on hold and are now due to start next year, with our Australia working holiday visas and another trip across the States.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't strictly follow religion but I do try to live by the principles of Buddhism and like to think my glass is always half full. There is always someone else worse off than myself, no matter how hard things may seem at the time.
Especially since losing my Mum, I feel that life is worth living and doing what makes you happy. people are too afraid to do what makes them happy in case they can't pay the bills, which makes me sad. Anything is possible if you want it enough :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm not sure what to write here just yet as I'm new, but hoping to start with we can use this site to meet up with people on our next trip and in our local area. It's a shame we cannot host but due to our lifestyle we both still live with our parents, so hosting isn't really something we can offer.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Sadly we've not had much experience before, which is a shame because we've travelled for quite some time in the past three years- but we're hoping to change this in the future and get connected!
