ABOUT ME

Started travelling in Southern Africa a few years ago and haven't stopped since. I try to spend any spare time between studies on the road, going new places and meeting new people. Just finished my first degree and am starting Medical School in September, but am off on a Round-The-World adventure first.

I work hard but I dance harder. I'm terrible at it but at least I approach it with enthusiasm. :) Laid back but proactive, pretty much up for anything. I am super social, love being with old friends and meeting new ones. I cycle everywhere. Just enjoying enjoying life and doing / working towards things I find fulfilling.

I can challenge you a decent game of table tennis or chess, can hold my own at pool and poker, but you're likely to beat me at foosball. I'm a bartender so hosting / being hosted by me comes with the benefit of a great cocktail. :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have mainly been a surfer, but will certainly be hosting if I ever actually find somewhere to live / own a couch. Always happy to help out in the London CS community, meet some people and show them why my city is AWESOME :D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have met a lot of couchsurfers along the road, and started surfing myself in the US this summer. Rocked up in the States knowing no-one, and left with a bunch of friends. Thanks CS. :)

Interests

Travel (surprise!), hitchhiking, extreme sports, less extreme sports, scuba diving, seeing the world by bike or on horseback, live comedy, theatre, festivals, reading, learning, music, medicine, global health, dancing until the sun comes up, meeting as many people as I possibly can, staying up late drinking and getting to know you

I've become very involved with the charity Anthony Nolan in the last few years, which is hella fun and a great charity to work for. We sign people up to the bone marrow register to help save lives from blood cancer. Check them out, they're awesome: http://www.anthonynolan.org/

All the classic books (big love for my Kindle) plus some more contemporary stuff. Love Bill Bryson. Also love reading plays, especially Oscar Wilde, Tom Stoppard and Samuel Beckett.

Films - Tarantino, In Bruges, Crazy Stupid Love, Catch Me If You Can, Drive, An Education, The History Boys, The Boat That Rocked...The Breakfast Club is one of my favourite films of all time.
