ABOUT ME

I'm always trying to be friendly, very open-minded, eager for new friends, experiences & adventures. I'm currently studying PhD in anthropology, I teach and I write for the newspapers. My passion has always been writing; I've published two novels so far and I look for inspiration from new people. That's why I love to travel and to host fellow travelers ready to share their experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

With my couch, of course. I can also help with getting to know Prague and the places around here in Czech. If there's no time issue, I can always pick up the surfer at the train station or airport or at least subway.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was couchsurfing all across Brazil and it was amazing. I also hosted quite a lot of people so far, with no exception interesting and inspiring people. Can't wait to get more.

Interests

In a good company, everything is interesting. But on the first place always writing, then reading, traveling or watching movies and learning new languages. Of course hanging out with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many movies and books I love it's hard to point out just some. But notably I'd say I enjoyed every single book by Neil Gaiman and every movie by Stanley Kubrick (although no. 1 Kubrick's film for me is certainly "Barry Lyndon"). In the case of music, I enjoy originality from all the genres. I don't very much appreciate 70's and 80's. But 60's were the best time for music ever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I will never forget what I felt when I finally climbed on the top of Castro Laboreiro, fascinating ancient castle and former Roman camp in the center of Portuguese mountains, only with village beneath me and unbelievable scenery around. It was snowing, freezing and I was just having jacket (who'd expect snow in Portugal in April, right?). But I felt so alive.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English and Portuguese (or my native Czech). I'm ready to show you best places of my beloved Prague or recommend cool places in most of Europe; I've been traveling all my life. I'm ready to share with you more about European history too.

I'm passionate about learning new languages and cultures. I'm specially interested in Portuguese (studying it for several years), Spanish, Italian and other Romance languages.
