About Me

PHILOSOPHY

Get out of your comfort zone, learn something new everyday, and treat people as if they were people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a new user, so I've had no experience with Couchsurfing.

Interests

I'm 19, so my interests are changing, but some constants over the past couple of years have been math, computer science, movies, guitar, and politics. Regarding politics, I like to be "in the loop," but I also like to challenge my views by reading from a number of different sources. I've started to become more interested in probability and data science. Over the past two months, I've run almost everyday. I want to continue doing this.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some things I always come back to:

The Social Network

Late Registration and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy by Kanye West
Aquemini by Outkast
good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar
Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen
Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Ten by Pearl Jam

The Great Gatsby (yeah, cliche) by F. Scott Fitzgerald
100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
The Road by Cormac McCarthy
Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami
Beloved by Toni Morrison
On the Genealogy of Morality by Friedrich Nietzsche

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started running almost everyday in June. After spending the majority of my life as the fat kid, I wanted to get in shape. At first, I struggled to run two miles. Then I struggled to run three miles. Then I struggled to run four miles. Three weeks later, I ran my first 5K in under 25 minutes. Two weeks ago, I ran my first seven mile race. It's a work in progress.

Teach, Learn, Share

math, computer science, guitar, some cool things about hip-hop. Some cool places to go around the city. Hopefully a good conversation.

I'm learning Spanish, so I'd love to practice it. If you're foreign, and you'd like to practice your English, I can always help out.
