About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet cool people and travel around Europe

ABOUT ME

I graduated this year from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and am currently living in the Nordend area of Frankfurt as an au pair with a wonderful family. Though I adore the children I take care of, I am eager to make friends my age here in Frankfurt, and I also plan to travel solo a bit while I'm living in Europe till summer 2014.

PHILOSOPHY

"A ship in harbor is safe, but that's not what ships were built for."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Though I cannot host because I, myself, am living in someone else's home, I am happy to meet up with anyone passing through Frankfurt to grab a beer or explore the city with! I am also planning to travel around Europe several times over the next year, and hope to Couchsurf on some of my trips.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never Couchsurfed before, but I am hoping to have my first experience this year.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a wide range of tastes in movies and music. As far as books go, lately I'm really into biographies and historical/political nonfiction, but I love Dickens and Austen, as well as classic 20th-century American novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the best days of my life was a day off I had while I was a camp counselor in Arizona. I wasn't really friends with the other group of counselors who had the day off as well, so I borrowed someone's car and drove to Sedona alone and hiked a canyon and a mesa -- best decision I could have made. I was surrounded by breathtaking scenery and I felt more confident in myself than ever for stepping out of my comfort zone and spending the entire day exploring alone.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are looking for someone with whom to debate national security issues or college football, look no further. :) Besides that, I have traveled through Western Europe via train so I can offer some tips and advice to would-be travelers.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Italy

Countries I’ve Lived In

Spain, United States
