About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be more awesome :)
ABOUT ME
I am currently a grad student studying mathematics at University of Maryland. I like traveling, playing frisbee, listening to music, going to shows and am interested in social justice and equality.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My goal in life is to see as many countries as I can visit. I have an inherent desire to learn about other cultures. And the best way to do it is not just see the main tourist attractions but to also know the people and their customs. Couchsurfing is a wonderful community of such people who open their homes and facilitate such cultural exchange.
Interests
I try to do at least two trips each year and at least one of them in the nature. I love camping and hiking.
I used to play a lot of frisbee but slowly it's taking a bit of a back seat :(
- traveling
- backpacking
- rock climbing
Music, Movies, and Books
Pink Floyd, Angel Olsen, Cate Le Bon, Mitski, I generally prefer female fronted Indie bands...
Shawshank redemption, Lives of Others, Un prophet, Melancholia
The namesake, Interpreter of Maladies, Love in the time of Cholera, American Gods, Snow, My name is Red
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacking through Asia is definitely the best thing I have done. I would recommend going to Taiwan.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am interested in learning about food and culture. I believe in personal connections even in a digital age. So cooking a home cooked meal and sharing stories over a camp fire is the best way to build human relationships.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my cooking skills, my life experiences and my traveling stories.
