About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting the unknown!

ABOUT ME

People generally describe me as a smiley, enthusiastic, curious and positive person.
I'm just starting to live and have so much to learn, and as any child does I don't know much with a thirst to learn, ask a lot of silly questions, smiles a lot, like to play and discover new things.

Amazed easily, contempt with not much and smiling at any occasion I can (there are a LOT of them!).
I want to discover what my self is made out of, how far can I push myself. So I decided to plunge towards my fears, one by one, pull the curtain and go for them.

I love to be challenged and push myself when done with cheekiness and smiles.
Mistakes are such a great opportunity to learn from them, they allow us to grow. I say we can make every mistake worth it.

Wanting to meet people different from me, wanting to learn from them and understand them; wanting to improve my photography; wanting to reach a healthier life-style by eating better food (based on a no-meat diet as much as possible) and trying to get into a yoga practice, need to learn how to get into the habit of it! =)
Working on that.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy LIFE! Absolute miracle on this tiny floating blue spaceship, damn! What a miracle that is!
Be kind, give, seek to understand, love.
Do not have expectations, do not take anything for granted.
Just be yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CouchSurfing is to enjoy the difference, open up our eyes through the ones of different people, share, love live, discover, help, laugh, smile, wow and zoom!

CouchSurfing is NOT to have a free place to sleep, to invade somebody's space, ignore hosts and disrespect them.

If I just want a place to sleep and don't want to properly meet people, I just go to a hostel. If those are your intentions, don't bother taking the time to send me a CouchRequest, you'll be just wasting a copy/paste click.

- And oh! Very low percentage of replies to couch requests due to failure to notice CS I was unavailable for a long time and all the requests became unanswerable with time. This won't happen twice though, you'll get a reply if my couch is informed as available. =)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It all started when I first travel by myself in Octobre 2008, to London (UK). I met 2 CouchSurfers' nest with amazing people! That is where I understood that CouchSurfing was absolutely amazing. Of course, being able to meet people who can show you around the city, make you discover customs and the local culture, and offer you a couch is already amazing, but what baffled me was the beauty of those people.
When you meet a PERSON and not just a tourist guide, that really is amazing. I met the best people I've ever met via CouchSurfing!
Whether it's being hosted or hosting, truly amazing people keep happening! And they keep changing my life, for the best!

MORE NEEDS TO HAPPEN! =D

Interests

LIFE! Because when you think about it, the very principle of Life is rather crazy and awesome! (or at least that's how I see it.)

CREATIVITY. Would it be Art or Science, ways to deals with a tricky situation, way of using a language, etc... Man, seeing creative is something that I love so much! When people express themselves, when they TRULY express THEMSELVES, they are being creative, and that's what is amazing about the whole thing as well.

YOGA. I have a massive soft spot for Hot yoga and Vinyasa combined. It'd be a total win if yoga could be part of my life until the very end. Nothing more to say. Plain and simple.

FOOD! You can safely ask me for crepes, Tzatziki, English Breakfast, salad, pumpkin soup and dal. Still a lot of learning to do.
But God I love eating good food! I love discovering new food as well! Experiments begin!

COLOURS and TEXTURES are pretty fucking amazing! I don't really know anything about them, but I love seeing how people use colours, and how they can express a feeling or emotion depending on how/when/where/why and by whom they are used. And there can be so many textures as well! Depending on what materials you use (would it be water colours, acrylic, some rough or smooth paper, a digital screen, a poster, a morning air in the countryside, etc). They are just purely so amazing!

PEOPLE : Humans are such a wonder to me! Able of such truly amazing things as well as the worst atrocities ever, so many cultures, so many ways to see the world, to live and love, to create and destroy, so so many differences in the details yet so so many similarities at the base.

TRAVELING, whether it's traveling within the city you live in or to another country at the other corner of the globe: going to an unknown place is thrilling! Bit scary at first, and then, once you're there, you don't think of anything else be getting to know more of the unknown and enjoying it! It's also amazing to discover! Discover that what you know isn't all that there is. Get lost, enjoy!

Planet Earth, the Universe in general, Languages, RANDOMNESS, films that trigger something in your brain, NATURE, Laughing, ART, Photography, Drawing, Painting, Dreaming, Tribal Tattoo art, Discovering, Music, LIVE music, Buying useless but happy things, the awkwardness of the Platypus, the cuddlness of the Pandas, the sillyness of Penguins and Ducks, (and almost all other animals), Glow sticks, Maths, Cinema, ELEMENTS!, Buddhism/Zen/Taoism/Hindu philosophy/and co., Sun, Rain, candles, clouds...

Learning, Smiling, Meeting, Discovering, Playing, Dancing, EXPERIENCING...

There's so much to discover and love! So so much!

Music, Movies, and Books

MAKE ME DISCOVER STUFF! =D

I may enjoy some commercial films and music, it doesn't make them good to me. Still enjoy them though. And nothing really is either all white or all black anyway.

For eyes (unfortunately I'm a pathetic reader, films are a faster way for me to get a kick): Mr Nobody, the old Walt Disneys, Apocalypto, The Hurt Locker, Spaced, Green Wing, Avatar, Baraka, 99 Francs, Snatch, ...

For ears : Alan Watts, The Cat Empire, Calle13, Dessa, Jimi Hendrix, Lemon Jelly, Nina Simone, Pink Floyd, Random Rab, Rehab, Rodriguez, Van Morrison, The XX, ...

Books : Dr Seuss got it right

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking from Los Angeles to San Francisco was an incredible adventure. I saw a lot that I would never have imagined before (happy and not-so-happy-at-all), went beyond myself and what I believed, met awesome people (mainly couchsurfers and homeless people), loved and grew.
An everlasting Thank You to Joe for all of what happened.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach me anything!! I love to learn, whether it is skills or knowledge.
I can teach you positive thinking, how to make crepes, a few facts about platypus, basic photography and how to use your camera, help you with some DIY furniture or work in your house, how to scythe (very basically), basic bookbinding, etc., ... I don't really have A skill, but I do share smiles! =D
