About Me

CURRENT MISSION

It is right time for me to make my biggest dream come true: travel all around the world. I want to go and meet smiley people from all possible countries. I will travel by myself but I am 100% sure I will never feel lonely!

ABOUT ME

I am a very simple and positive French guy. Curious, open minded and enjoying the present time as much as I can. I love culture and arts in general. But the best way to learn new things to me is to go to the school of real life, by travelling and meeting new people. That is why I have recently decided to quit my job (spending more than 8 hours per day in an office can be sometimes a bit boring) and make a trip around the world: Russia, Asia, India, Latin America and Africa are my main destinations, but I want to explore as many places as I can! Hope to see you soon :)

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy in life would be something like:

"I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within him; or the old laws be expanded, and interpreted in his favor in a more liberal sense, and he will live with the license of a higher order of beings. In proportion as he simplifies his life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them." Walden, Henry David Thoreau

Even though I am not the most religious person on earth, I try to have a life more and more focused on spirituality, inspired by American nonviolent thinkers (Adin Ballou, Thoreau), Tolstoi and Gandhi.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent a couple of days in St Petersbourg after looking for a host on Couchsurfing. It was my first experience, and what a great experience! I discovered so many things, attended many events, and met so generous people. I will try again without any hesitation!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To quit my job and leave my career behind in order to travel all around the world for one or two years!

To spend 2 months in a Christian nonviolent vegetarian community in the middle of rural Massachusetts and learn Gospel centered, simple sustainable living.

To spend a couple of days all alone in a hermitage in the wild forest without electricity nor running water, but just an old wood heat stove.

Teach, Learn, Share

Of course, I can teach a lot about French culture and history. I love my country, what it represents. But as a 33 year old guy, I have already travelled a lot in the world and I would be happy to share my experience of all great places I have visited so far (even Kazakhstan, for those who loved the movie Borat). Multicultural issues, for instance, is one of my favorite topic.
I also love philosophy in general and I like discussing hours and hours about essential things in life.

Countries I’ve Visited
