About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Ultimately, finding my path towards enlightenment.

ABOUT ME

I am an adventure seeker, peace keeper and techno tourist. I was born and raised in the northern Virginia/Washington DC area. Many people will say that I am very open minded, easy going and free spirited. I have a strong interest in electronic music, automotive motorsports and exotic food. When I am traveling, my points of destinations are usually based on music and what events or artist are playing. Throughout my travels, I have become very interested in abandoned sites and isolated and desolate locations including but not limited to abandoned buildings and hidden beaches.

My traveling adventures started with a job (I was actually working two jobs). While I was at work, all I had in mind was places I wanted to be besides work, mainly Ibiza. I always wanted to go to Ibiza but I never had the money or friends to go with. One day, one little spark at work had me fed up with the monotonous lifestyle I was dealing with so I quit both my jobs, sold my car and bought a ticket to Ibiza. I was inspired by my friend who came to Ibiza, found a job, apartment and stayed on the island for the whole summer. It sounded like a great idea. How wouldn't want to spend the summer on an island in the Mediterranean sea.

However, the plan didn't exactly work out after a month of living on the island, so I decided to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the island and bought a ferry ticket to Barcelona and later planned to go to the San Fermin festival in Pamplona. The plan was to leave the island for a couple weeks and come back except I didn't come back. When I arrived to Barcelona and was amazed by the beauty of the city and met some really cool people there. I became fascinated of what else I could discover in Europe and the people that I will meet so I kept going. Before leaving home in the US, I had no intentions of traveling around Europe. It was that moment, I had caught the travel bug. Along the way, I saw some amazing sights, had great experiences and met many interesting people. I met other coachsurfers who had been traveling for many months and I tried to learn from them how I can live a nomadic lifestyle. Because of the couchsurfing website, my travels have become less about doing touristy things but to meet people from around the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Travel like a local, not a tourist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will DJ for free if you have a house party.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been to many group meetings on CS. The memorable thing I've done so far was camp out in a park with other coachsurfers. While one of us was suppose to stay awake at night to protect the group, we still had encounters with thieves and public masterbaters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the sunset in Ibiza, partied all night and watched the sunrise on the other side of the island in the morning.

Got lost in Ibiza and found an old watchtower where I witnessed the most incredible view from the cliff of the island.

Being chased by bulls at San Fermin.

Witnessed the originator of techno, Juan Atkins, DJ at one of the first techno clubs in Berlin.

Snuck into an abandoned amusement park.

Camping out in a public park with Couchsurfers because we had nowhere to stay.

Lastly, life.
