ABOUT ME

Urban planning student who cant sit still!

Born in Vancouver, moved to Calgary at 10, consider myself to have grown up there, though SO not your typical Calgarian - There is an incredible alternative community of people in Calgary, and luckily I knew the right place to look. It will always be dear to my heart, but I needed more and so I moved to Montreal to learn french. There, I found my passion for urban planning, and the rest is future history :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I only joined for the purpose of my current trip I will be unable to host currently, but I definitely expect when I return home I will be hosting people. For now, just surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfing is the most amazing idea and I've had the most amazing experiences. Meeting and being show around by locals is the absolutely only way I'd ever want to travel again. I've seen cities in ways one could never, ever have done not only staying at a hotel, but even a hostel. I have only surfer, but I can't wait to start hosting as well. I wish I had heard of the site sooner.

Interests

I am an Urban Planning student at Concordia University.

I love to walk and take in the sights - I consider the trip I'll be taking in June to be one great big Jane's Walk.

-Reading
-Dancing (oh, I don't need a dance floor, kitchens and public spaces work just fine ;))
-Cooking (not a vegetarian or vegan and I'm notttt the best cook in the world, but I love experimenting with vegan cooking. :)) And honestly, most of the time it turns out pretty darn well. I'm always keen for learning!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived in and near some of the most breath taking places in the world. From a bungalow on the beaches of Australia to the Rocky Mountains of Alberta to the cedar grove forests of Vancouver Island, to 300+ year old cities like Montreal. What a life.
