When I have free time: I read, garden, take impractical lengthy bike rides, get into child's pose and call it yoga, attempt to play Bach inventions, and cook delicious meals oblivious to the mess I'm making.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

On a "free day" on tour in Salzburg, on a whim with excellent friends: sprinted to a bus stop to catch a bus to St. Gilgen. Caught the boat across the picturesque Wolfgangsee (Lake Wolfgang). Chug-a-chugged along Schafberg Cog Railway (the steepest!) up the mountain. Saw the Alps in every direction. Watched our hair stand straight up until lightning struck across the way. Got snowed, hailed, and rained on in the same ten minutes. Took a train to a boat to a bus back to Salzburg. Climbed a tree, swam in a fountain, got soaked to the bone in the storm, and had delicious beers with great friends at a local abbey. One of my most favorite days on this earth.
