ABOUT ME

I love to travel and meet new people. I love chatting and learning about people and cultures. I enjoy reading (both for my studies and fiction), playing guitar, and spending time outside.
My research interests lie in testing methods of how logic can be used to improve critical thinking and literacy.
I like to stay physically and mentally active and people say that I'm very level-headed.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is like a game of chess. There are millions of possibilities that arise out of every move and actions cannot be undone. Just as in a game of chess we must act - not only with the present in mind - but also the future as well as applying our knowledge of the past.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never used this website, but have certainly spent time couchsurfing - whether it's visiting friends in a city away from home or meeting people on my travels.

Interests

Language (although I'm working on my French and Spanish I mean an interest in the English language - it is what consumes my academic work).
Discovering and sharing cultural viewpoints and the various philosophies that come with those as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books/authors: Vonnegut (Breakfast of Champions is my favourite of his work), Orwell, Hemingway, What Makes Sammy Run?, Duddy Kravits... I could go on, but that's a nice picture.
Music: I'm a big blues fan, but I also like dancing and just about any music that you can really tap your foot too. If you play some funk/soul I will not be able to help myself from dancing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Helium was discovered using a spectrometer that looked at the sun (the area around it actually) during a solar eclipse. The name Helium was given to it in honor of the sun and Helios, the Greek god of sun.
...that's an extremely random fact. I'd love to chat more and teach, learn, and share :)
