About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find a balance between patience and impatience

ABOUT ME

I love to travel, meet new people, learn about different cultures, and surround myself with art, music, and food. I got my degree in voice, and am doing a dual master's degree in arts administration and public affairs. I hope to continue performing and working for nonprofits that bring happiness to people's lives.

PHILOSOPHY

Find happiness and beauty in the small things, even in the sad and frustrating moments in your life, beauty and joy are present in these moments too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recently traveled around Spain, singing, hiking, hitch hiking, and couchsurfing. It was a great experience and I can't wait to do it again! I also couch surfed in Washington state and got to meet many lovely people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Spain! I stayed with two hosts that were fantastic! They showed me around their respective towns, and one even drove me to my next destination. It was a couple hour drive! I had one so-so experience, but you should always have your wits about you when couch surfing, and in life in general, so even though it was not a great experience, I handled it well. I also live in a coop in Chicago. We have a large common space and have hosted people before, albeit not through the couch surfing website. We recently had a traveling poet tour through. She performed her poetry and crashed at our place. It was wonderful!

The last time i couchsurfed was a few years ago when I went to Seattle and the San Juan Islands. I stayed with a wonderful host and we talked about art and culture. Seattle people were great - some even offered me a ride to places without me even asking. I am excited to head back one day.
