About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live life, to give back the positivity that I recieve, to see and feel as much as I can with the time that I have.

ABOUT ME

I ski alot, I don't write as much as I really should, I love and live pretty damn well. I'm confident of my journey most of the time. I'm actually rather uncomfortable with the broad requirement of this paragraph. So just read the rest of it?

PHILOSOPHY

I'm blessed by the freedom I have and by the family and friends I'm surrounded by. So to give back, I do good by everyone I meet (or try to), I try to understand the people that frustrate me, and I vent any anger inside me by jumping of big things on skis and generally scaring the bejesus out of myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I smile, I clean, I share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing quite as formal as this. Spent years hosting and being hosted, but never by this website....until now.

Interests

Skiing, hiking, mountaineering, learning, walking, listening to the birds and to the interesting people on the journey, patting dogs and watching goats.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like bluegrass and jambands. Poetry and writing with a heavy emphasis on landscape and adventure are important to me (hence listening to bluegrass). I'll read pretty much anything that isn't on depressing subjects. I'm inspired by the beauty of things, not so much the sad things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Kashmir and skiing the Himalayas for three months is about as cool of an experience as I could ever have hoped to have. To board a gondola with armed Indian soldiers to go ski metre and a half storms was not something I'll ever forget. The people live a harder life then most, yet smiles are almost always a companion to their hardships.

Teach, Learn, Share

The ignorant are loud, the wise are quite, for only through listening to others and to the lessons of the Universe, do we learn. This is something I sometimes need to tell myself when I'm drunk and cocky, or excited by new prospects. It is not a skill I always consider I have, but I believe I'm getting better at it.
