About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I wish to travel as much as possible and to meet new people! I did not have the opportunity to travel until now, so there's a lot to explore for me. :)

ABOUT ME

I'm a very open, friendly person who likes to meet new people. I get along well with all kinds of characters and love to get to know you! I am equally as enthralled by good conversations as by long nights of party. And I love to try new, unusual or weird dishes. :)

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life in some kind of an objective mode, regarding humankind and our world from some sort of birds-eye view, knowing that we, consisting of 'stardust' ourselves, populate just a tiny, odd planet in a tiny odd galaxy, among an unimaginable number of other galaxies. This makes me feel pretty balanced and calm, but at the same time it fuels the urge to explore every bit of the beauty and weirdness of the blue and green ball we live on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to meet and explore this big city together! I'm relatively new here, too, so most of Berlin's famous must-have-seens are not yet seen by me, too. I am now living in my own flat and can share the space if my work schedule permits.

Interests

Science! Technology! Maths! I'm enthusiastic about virtual reality, cybernetics and robotics, but I also enjoy arts, design and music. I program recreationally and am into gamedev. I'm interested in AI and Machine Learning and try to learn more about this (as an interest but also for work).
Also: fleamarkets, museums, evenings at the park, trying out new sports - I find nearly everything interesting, so I'm sure we'll find something to talk about or something to do. :) I also enjoy photography and am currently looking to revive this hobby of mine.

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE music! I am playing bass guitar, sing in a choir with amazing people (singing in the city Berlin) and try to learn how to carry a tune with some singing lessons (I'm a novice at all three). I sing daily and love to do so, especially while cleaning or doing routine work at home. I have a bass guitar, ukulele and cajonito, so if you'd like to use these instruments while visiting, feel free to do so! I'd love to make some music together! :)

I'm not much of a TV-junkie and I seldom go to the cinema as I have the attention span of a squirrel on a sugar-high when it comes to movies. Thus, I do not own a TV and am helplessly lost when the topic shifts to current shows. I'm more a bookish person and I guess Mr. Pratchett wins the award for 'author whose books have accompanied my reading self the longest'. I also really enjoy Walter Moers' books as well as his illustrations, which I'm very fond of. Other than those, I like books like Fermats letzter Satz or the music of the primes(for which I can't find an adequate category right now, it seems - scientific literature without all the formulas or something like that).
