About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Figure out life.

ABOUT ME

I try to find beauty in the small things and I always try to avoid negativity and haters. Openminded people who are at ease with them selves and don't try to please others but love them selves for who they are are people who attract me and I always try to keep company like that. I love to meet new people and try new things.

Traveling is a very important part of my life. How ever, being that I now have three kids, travelling is a bit limited these days. But when I can, I love to travel with friends or family but prefer to travel alone. When I'm travelling, I always bring two things. My running shoes and a good book. Running and reading. Important parts of travelling for me. If you can help me find great running trails where you live I’d be very happy :) or bring me with you.

My favourite cities I've been to are Barcelona, where I lived 2004 and always love to return to, Napoli, a city I'm beginning to love more and more, Lisboa for its beautiful sadness and charm and Oaxaca in Mexico. This place might be the most beautiful city I’ve been to. And the food..

PHILOSOPHY

Who am I to say what you should do with your life and vice versa. Also, I’m at a point in my life where I realized that work (wage labor) is evil. It’s something that pays the bills. That’s it. I’m remodeling my life in a way so that I don’t have to work as much. Plus I have kids. All three of them. The panic that comes when I think about what we’re doing to our only home gives me a reason to live more sustainable and spend less money on stuff.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As my ex-housemate used to host a lot, so did I. Now I just recently surfed another couch and I really see the advantages traveling that way. Not just the money but also the way you get to see a city in a completely different way that just staying at a hotel or hostel. And best of all, you make new friends! Cities are never more than the people who live in them and couchsurfing is a great way of getting to know a city and new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I could write like tons of names of excellent musicians. But Let's keep it simple.

I love jazz. Grew up with jazz in the family. Country music. Yes, weird, I know. But I'm not referring to the Bon Jovi with a violin commercial stuff. I mean the real deal folk music. When I was younger, I bumped my head to a lot of hiphop. Ah - the golden days of hiphop. Not that weak stuff the kids spotify today. Sometimes, I love getting in to the harder stuff as well. Like Sepultura, Pantera and such. And when I want to be reminded of my days of no worries or sorrow, Pink Floyd.

All sorts of non-fiction books on politics and history, contemporary american novels, arabic authors, Russian classics, anything interesting.

All sorts of dark and depressing movies if I feel down. All sorts of feel good movies if I would feel I'd need. Il Postino, Cinema Paradiso, Il Padrino, Emir Custorica, The Battle of Algeirs, Totoro,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
