ABOUT ME

Being a culture mix myself (half German, half Arabic), I just love intercultural exchange and therefore the idea of Couchsurfing - in my opinion you can only really get to know a country by meeting it's people to share ideas, experiences, lots of laughter ... That's why I'm so curious to meet people from different backgrounds to learn from them and to get to know their individual story!

As in for me: I try to just enjoy life and I am a positive thinking person. I can be very enthusiastic even about little things like a chocolate cake...which is actually not a little thing maybe ;)
I like to laugh and look at the good side of life, but that doesn't mean that I cannot get lost in depth-conversations as well, I love them, I love getting lost in good discussions...

I believe in God and I believe in destiny. To sum it up, I think everything is meant to be. Life if like a movie. A Twist ending movie. In the end, you realise why you had to go through all the things which happened to you. We should give a meaning to everything. It is just that you can, and should have to, learn from every situation in life.
This is my own opinion - and I've got my mind wide opened to any other philosophy. :)

Interests

The world, laughing, having good long conversations, finding out about other people's ideas, being in the nature (especially in the mountains or somehow close to water! *_* ), latin dance, passing out on the couch after eating too much, jumping, singing, photography, cooking and baking for & with friends, politics, psychology, philosophy, having a good time with family and friends, hiking, biking around in any weather, libraries, sitting in front of the fireplace, running until I feel dizzy and exhausted, turning up the volume knob, spontaneity, traveling, the kindness of strangers, big and old books, festivals, reading, cultural diversity, figuring out what makes me happy, trying to live in the best possible way...

Music, Movies, and Books

I generally read a lot out of various fields. The recent books next to my bed are: one about positive psychology, the biography of Nelson Mandela, and a book about my big love Istanbul.
In general, I love books about psychology, philosophy, politics, as I like to know about the planet and the people on it ;)
Plus, I appreciate big and fat book with great and inspiring pictures about travels, photography, art...
