ABOUT ME

I am female, 22 years old, and have lived in Montana, USA, as well as Vienna Austria. I recently graduated with two bachelors degrees in English Writing and German Studies from the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana. Dark Culture, as we sometimes call it in the US, or "gothic/alternative/ industrial" has been a large part of my life since I was about 14 years old. I can speak English, German, and a functional amount of Spanish. I am an avid reader, music enthusiast, animal lover, DJ, gogo dancer, writer and visual performer. I love making new friends and having new experiences in new places. :)

PHILOSOPHY

I am a realist yet set high standards for myself. I am mostly independent but understand the rarity and value of true human connection.

I am new to couch-surfing, but am excited for all the opportunities it could afford to meet new friends.

Above almost all else, I love to dance. I In my free time I also like to go running, go on absurdly long walks with my headphones, get lost in the library under piles of books for too long, make performance costumes, model for my photographer friends, paint while listening to audio books or watching movies, and work on my writing. I have also been getting into a variety of table top games in the last couple of years. I am interested in all languages and have been told I have a talent for picking up languages. I like to dress creatively and stand out, both to express myself and make others smile or to spark conversations with new people.

I am a huge fan of David Lynch. He is how I can live in Montana almost my whole life and stay sane -mostly. I also love the works of author Brett Easton Ellis, as well as many of the classics including Virginia Woolf, Kate Chopin, Mary Shelley, and Oscar Wilde to give a few examples. I also appreciate almost anything dealing with Generational psychology and sociology, and have written several articles on the subject, mainly in the area of Dark Culture and alternative cultures throughout the 20th century. I love the antics and writings of author James St. James, as well as a few fun others like Hunter S. Thompson and William S. Burroughs. My favorite film genre is certainly psychological thrillers.

I have received very high marks in school for my entire life, that is probably what I am most proud of. And my involvement in Montana's premiere Burlesque troupe, the Cigarette Girls Burlesque, has been a rewarding experience for me over the last 3 years. I have also had 14 years of professional dance training, and have worked as a professional dancer myself now for 1 year.
