About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To start living my own life!

ABOUT ME

Ok. I am the worst person on the Earth. I am mean, selfish, hot-headed, sarcastic and ironic. I hate meeting with people...

ok ok. Just kidding.

I think, I try to get from life as much as I can, and the same give as much as it is possible to others.
I can't live without changes, so I get itchy feet very often. Routine kills creativity!
I try to be honest and good toward other people, and I expect that other people will be the same for me. In other words, I am just very simple, naive guy.

... or maybe I am also a liar? ;)

ha. here's the trick: if you are sending me a couch request or message please include somewhere word "ornitorrinco" - so that I will know that you've read my profile.

PHILOSOPHY

Every single person in the world deserves to be tolerated and respected. I strongly believe, that generally people are GOOD. Maybe naive, but so far it works.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I am kind of rookie in couchsurfing. So far We have hosted some guys in a flat I share with my friends, and it was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT EXPERIENCE. It motivated me to make some plans and showed me that for sure sky is the limit.

I love meeting new people, especially when they have good stories, memories and so on to share. But wait! Everyone has good stories to share! ;)

Interests

I am a kind of person that gets easily involved and easily bored, so it's quite hard to say what I am interested in. But let me try to make a list of some basic stuff:

*First of all MOUNTAINS. Hiking is something I cannot live without. It's all about finding freedom.

*Languages. I'm crazy about languages - but unfortunately I love especially grammar and theory. ;)

*Local customs. I love getting to know traditions and customs of places I travel to.

*Cooking. Nothing more to say about that.

*Eating. Unfortunately...

Music, Movies, and Books

So many movies I have watched in my life. Hard to remember them all. But the most, let's say important are:
Into the wild
Touching Void
Hotel Rwanda
Black Swan
Matrix
Dzien Swira (polish one).
The Mission
American Beauty.

I listen to many different types of music and I think it could be easier to list the types I don't like... But in terms of being "positive" I may say that generally I listen to rock, indie, a bit of hard rock. Sometimes I'm in the mood for jazz or classical music. I also realy do like ethnic music.
The Who
AC/DC
The Clash
Bastille
Mumford and Sons
Florence and the Machine
Kings of Leon
The Decemberists
Rodriguez
Miles Davis
Lou Reed
Anna Maria Jopek
John Mayall and the Bluesbrakers
Joe Satriani
Oscar and the Lady in Pink
Sting
Eric Clapton
Aynur Dogan

Books. Dozens. From Dostoyevsky to Pratchett.
Dostoyevsky (maybe not all his books, but most of them ;)
Old Shutterhand
Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy
One hundred years of solitude
The century of the surgeon
Christiane F.
Zazdrosc i Medycyna
Lod
Pratchett's books
American Gods

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm... It seems that everything I do in my life is somehow AMAZING, but so far I guess that the most 'amazing' experience was hitch-hiking in the south-eastern Turkey. Meeting people that live totally different life, in completely different culture, with possesing that much, but still being very open, kind and full of life and joy.

Teach, Learn, Share

COOOOKING! I love learning new recipies from other countries and teaching mines!
I guess that I can try to teach you some words in Polish - it is always a lot of fun when foreigners try to pronounce polish words.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well. I can share some crazy hitch-hiking stories. (yope, I know... boring). I can talk about languages, differences between them, learning them, and maybe some hints about learning them. ;)

Countries I’ve Visited

Armenia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Georgia, Greece, Lithuania, Macedonia, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine

Countries I’ve Lived In

Poland, Turkey
