CURRENT MISSION
Rekindle an Adventurous Spirit That's Been Dormant Way Too Long
ABOUT ME
Hello/Hola! I'm a 23 year old student and bartender from good ol' Indiana(un estado muy rural con mucha agricultura en los EEUU). This summer, July-August 2013, I will be traveling from Mexico City to Guatemala. My love of travel started when I was part of a foreign language exchange program that took me to Antigua, Guatemala. Although I was only 16, the experience has a life-long influence on me, and kindled my love of Latin America, and especially Mexico and Central America. As often happens, in the past 7 years since, I've allowed myself to get caught up in the rat race and lose sight of what's really matters in this world. If you're seeking a fun, relaxed, and most importantly adventurous and curious travel companion, then I'm your guy. Looking forward to meeting other like-minded travelers. Cheers!
PHILOSOPHY
My life mantra is "Happiness is the absence of fear"
La mantra de mi vida es " Felicidad es la ausencia del miedo"

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list for each category, but speaking as far as genres
Books: Non-fiction (History, Science), Biographies
Music: Hip-Hop, Deep House, Jazz, are among my favorites
Movies: very open to anything with an interesting plot or artistic execution
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing that I've ever seen is the sunset over Lago Atitlan, in the Western Guatemala Highlands, I was sitting out on a boat of a friends, and you could see all the local Maya weavings in and out of the paths on their way home, and I just remember thinking that this is wear I want to be, no other place in the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to meet people that could show me the true Mexican culture. I want nothing more than to be eating delicious local food and learning about its history. Also, being a bartender, I have to admit to loving night-life, so anyone acquainted in this scene or that is an aficionado as well, I would love to learn more about the Mexico City Bar scene especially. As far as what I have to offer to teach, I can definitely help other English speakers with their Spanish, and Spanish speakers with there English. Also, if your looking for someone to experience ruins or Pre-Columbian sites with, I can guarantee I can offer you some interesting facts along these tours.
