About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get better every day

ABOUT ME

I'm a musician, composer, professor, and administrator.

I was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. Spent five years in Gainesville, FL and two years in Chicago. Moved back to Jacksonville but I spend almost half of my time away from home. Frequently in NYC, Washington DC, and Atlanta.

I am of Malaysian-descent and ethnically Chinese. I still have a lot of family in Malaysia although most of my generation is spread throughout the US, Canada, Australia and other parts of Asia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am interested in meeting cool people first and foremost, and would consider staying with or hosting if the situation is right.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Finally, i can add some experiences here! Used couchsurfing to meet lots of people and make friends during my tour of Asia in 2013. Surfed in Bangkok (granted it was with a friend of friends from back home), went to meetups in Bangkok and Taipei, and met with CSers in Penang and Tokyo. Great resource for finding interesting travelers from around the world!

Interests

Food, Sports, Culture, Travel

I love to eat nearly every type of cuisine, I love to play and watch nearly every sport*, I try very hard to be cultured, and I want to travel everywhere.

*My teams are the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Rockets, Houston Astros, Houston Dynamo, Chicago Blackhawks, Florida Gators and Fulham FC.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm sure I can think of a better answer eventually but right now this is what I've got:

I went whitewater rafting in Switzerland which was pretty tame compared to the other amazing activities offered in Interlaken, but I was rewarded at the end when our raft emptied out of the rapids and into an enormous serene lake. All of a sudden, I looked around and was surrounded by the Alps. Pretty cathartic.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Monaco, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
