One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Apart from skydiving, I consider my trip to Iceland amazing. Yes, it really sounds corny, but It was amazing because of the things that happened to me there. Here is one of them.
After traveling here and there, last day I went to the city called Vik. But when I came back to Reykjavik, I found out that I left my camera there. I started panicking as I had I flight in the morning. But then I started thinking. I recalled that the only place I stayed at Vik for a long time, was the restaurant near the black sand beach. It was already 10 pm so when I called the restaurant it was already closed. I did not know anyone and I did not know what to do. I did not even know if my camera was at that restaurant. So I called the random bus company which gave me the number of the guy working at the bus station in Reykjavik. Then I called him and he told me the number of a guy working at the gas station in Vik. The guy working at the bus station told me that Vik is really a small city so everyone knows each other. Someone at the gas station could know someone working at the restaurant. Then I called the guy working at the gas station to ask him whether he knew anyone working in the restaurant. And guess what, he asked the people who were there at that time and he told me that the son of the owner of the restaurant was there at this time :D (I'm really lucky and I know it). So somehow I managed to contact him out of nowhere, but he told me that he was busy but he would ask his brother to check the restaurant if there was my camera at all. So he did and his brother found my camera. THen I asked him to bring my camera to the gas station as he could not obviously brought it to Reykjavik. In 2 hours my camera was at the gas station. However, then I had to figure out how to get my camera from gas station to Reykjavik in several hours. Then I called the bus station in Reykjavik and asked them really politely if anyone was coming back to Reykjavik from Vik. They told me that it was up to the bus driver if he would pick it up. They contacted the bus driver and he finally agreed to take my camera from that gas station. So, somehow, by calling complete strangers during the night I got really lucky and I managed to get my precious vintage camera back 1.5. hours before the departure. This story is important for me as later I developed photos of Iceland which I really love. If I had lost my camera there It would be really awful.
