About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Experience the world and challenge my preconceptions

ABOUT ME
Currently aiming to spend as much time out of the UK as possible, exploring parts of the world people don't commonly visit and meet the people who live there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I have a lot of stories which I love to share I love to cook for others and I make Indian food and various other things I picked up on my travels/ made up.

Unfortunately not been able to host due to living in shared accommodation but will hopefully be able to accept surfers once I am back in the UK and settled

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Couchsurfed throughout Africa, had the opportunity to meet some amazing people. There is no better way to travel. Looking forward to hosting people once I'm back in the UK

Interests

Travelling is my biggest passion. I also love to learn new languages (I speak 5 though my french is a bit out of practice). For me, travel is all about talking to new people and seeing the world from their perspective. I love outdoor and adventure activities. I always make it a point to try new things when the opportunity presents itself. I'm into trekking, scuba diving, running, swimming and recently surfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to read about nerdy things like global politics, philosophy, anthropology and healthcare issues but I also really enjoy a good meaty novel from time to time (although I still haven't found many books that beat Harry Potter). I play spanish classical guitar (badly). I'm quite an omnivore when it comes to music. I watch nearly every movie that comes out. Motorcycle diaries, Fight club and American Pie and Wild tales are some of my favourites among many others.

Books: Mostly non fiction, I like to read about international politics and philosophy. Sapiens, Nothing to Envy, The republic, India after Gandhi, 1984, The republic

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Impossible to pick just one! But among the best have to be wandering the Angkor ruins in Cambodia, staring out into the distance in the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, trekking through snowy mountains and cloud forests to Machu picchu, Tubing in Lao, street parties in Rio, mountain biking down the world's most dangerous road, scuba diving with sharks and mantas in Komodo at night, staying in a tibetan monastery in the middle of nowhere, safari in Tanzania and many more.

I recently returned from a month trekking in Ladakh India and to Everest base camp in Nepal

Teach, Learn, Share

I have extremely wide ranging interests so always looking to learn something new. I can teach you phrases in a few languages.

My friends say I'm a good cook, I love trying new cuisines and recreating them and sharing them with others. Can teach you to make good vegetarian food from around the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like cooking for hosts, especially creating new dishes with them using anything that's around. Can't promise it will be tasty though!

Countries I’ve Lived In

Bhutan, India, United Kingdom
