About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to get out in the world, explore new cultures, and break out of my comfort zones.

I'm that guy who always seems to be having a good time because I am. I do my best to make sure that everyone is having fun because what's life without fun?

I'm frequently told by both my family and friends to "shut up" as I'm extremely talkative and love conversations. I can go out and do hardcore partying or I can stay in with a great six pack or good bottle of wine and talk all night.

I love reading, writing, going to the movies, getting lost in foreign cities, trying new foods, drinking beer, fine cigars, all sports, and generally just having a good time.

Always keep a positive mental attitude. There's no room for negativity in life as it only brings you down.

Additionally, always be honest with others and more importantly with yourself. Leave nothing out.

Pay it forward because you can't always pay it back.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I plan on surfing couches to meet new people, learn about different cultures, and sample serious amounts of food. I also will be trying to attend CS events when I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I studied English Literature with a concentration in the Epics. My one favorite childhood series I still read is the "Redwall" books by Brian Jacques (RIP). I also really enjoyed the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. Big Hemingway, Vonnegut, Fitzgerald, and Bukowski fan.

As to music, I started off with Punk Rock. From there I've gone pretty much everywhere. I enjoy classical, country, rap, punk rock, and folk. Honestly, I've got nothing to do with genres. If it sounds good, it catches my ear.

Movies? Way too many to go through. Big Star Wars fan though. I enjoy the original trilogy and try to give the prequels a chance.

TV Shows? Doctor Who, Californication, and anything I can binge on Netflix.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ran a marathon at the age of 19. I had never ran more than 10 miles before I finished the 26.2 miles in 4 1/2 hours. I ran another at 22 in Venice, Italy. Italians are awesome fans.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about different cultures' food and general history. I like going to the tiny towns as well as big cities to learn about how the town came to be and what their main industry was etc.

I'm from the country in the USA so I love little country towns because they have some of the most eccentric histories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make you the best damn American Cheeseburger you'll ever have.

Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden
