About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Still searching for Sugar Man.

ABOUT ME

I like to be creative and active while not forgetting about the joy of a good daydream.
I think rationalism is only completed with poetry.
I believe a person is not one-dimensional and therefore I am a human with as many different layers as an onion maybe (or really, really soft toilet paper if you don't like onions. Somehow this comparison is not too good... As many layers as a Japanese sword manufactured by masters. Now that was better, maybe.).
I like listening and talking in the same way. I think Utopia is a beautiful city but I am against fascism nevertheless.
I esteem solidarity higher than self-fulfilment.
I am vegan. I don't write that here as a statement of ideology it's just that I think having said that may prevent misunderstandings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to participate with heart and soul.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've mostly surfed but hosted a few times. I am not super experienced but I am not entirely new to it as well.

Interests

I like to be creative and to socialize. I am interested in books, art, cinema, theatre, music and the media. I don't really have any "favorite" topic to talk about I am just interested in having a good and open conversation.

I really like drawing and doodling around so it's not so unusual to see me with a pen in my hands. I like to be digitally creative as well so I do some graphic design and layouting.
I really read a lot but mostly not classics of high literary value but any newspaper/magazine I can find. The more random the better. However I read books and poetry in between.
Music and films, of course. See below.
Coffee. I like coffee.
Oh, and architecture. How could I forget. Architecture, everywhere, every time. As long as it can be considered a design and not just a building without a soul.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a variety of films. I enjoy the artsy ones where you have these slow cuts and boring monologues about life, but sometimes I can also enjoy a good nonsense action blockbuster. Depends on mood and people that I'm with. I don't have a favorite genre concerning music, my taste is a blended mix of everything. Now that is far to general I guess, but what makes me like music is the message (and sometimes the bassline I've to admit). As for books it's harder to say. I like French existentialism (Camus most of all) and books by Haruki Murakami. I like Paul Auster and T.C.Boyle I like Goethe but prefer Schiller I like Böll, Hesse and Kafka. I like J.D. Salinger and Kerouac sometimes I like books I had no clue of before, so if you know some stuff you'd recommend, tell me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That very moment, when you arrive in a new place and everything seems strange yet tempting. This feeling will remain and repeat, as long as I keep travelling I guess.
