Hi! My name is Mariano. I was born in Santa Rosa (Province of La Pampa - Argentina) and I went to Córdoba (Argentina) at the age of 18 to study Engineering in Land Surveying. After finishing my university studies, I remained in Córdoba working until March 2019. There I decided to change my course and I decided to come to Dinmarca to live for a year (in principle). So everything is new to my hahaha.
I consider myself a very open and curious person, always predisposed to do something that I haven't done. That is why whenever I can travel, I try to go to another country to discover new cultures, people and lifestyles. For this, the best way to do it is to walk and walk, and talk and listen :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm in Couchsurfing because the experience of hosting or moving people away from other provinces or countries is a very good way to know their perspectives or life experiences, discover other cultures and customs, and make new friends. With regard to my experiences in Couchsurfing, they were all very positive and enriching.

Interests

In relation to my tastes, I'm passionate about music, I think I couldn't live without it (I'm a fan of going to see music concerts). I play the guitar, although in a very basic way.
I enjoy playing football. I have practiced it since I was 5 years old and currently I do it with friends in championships. Swimming is something I did also for 4 years. Swimming is something very relaxing :)
I'm learning to dance Folklore (set of Argentine dances). Is very passionate to me too, I think that dancing is a form of expression, of feeling the body in a very liberating way.
Lastly I love walking to explore and know, either by natural places or by the city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Rock/POP - Cumbia - Cuarteto - Electronic - Folklore or any music that makes you move your body. Los Espíritus, Sara Hebe, Babasónicos, Madonna, Massive Attack, Morcheeba, Justice, L'Impératrice, Muse, The Doors, Roosevelt, Metallica, La Delio Valdez (and many more) among my favorites :).
Films: Cenizas del Paraíso, The Departed, Lord of War, Tarantino movies, etc. Lately I'm watching more Argentine or netflix series as El Marginal o Black Mirror.
Books: I usually like to read Argentine and international history and politics books, as well as texts related to philosophy. Of course I'm interested in novels, The Unbearable Lightness of Being Kundera and Leviathan of Auster to recommend!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I do not know if it's something incredible but crazy. After having slept so little after an exit to a bar, I went to the base of Cerro López in Bariloche at first, and ended up reaching the top without even imagining it, (finding small lakes, snow, an ice cave in summer!) Seeing the horizon full of mountains and lakes. That was pretty cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

I 'm very curious and open to learn things. I think the best way to stay "alive" is to continue discovering new things, things that generate surprises, and there's nothing better than sharing it with friendly people or people who know in any circumstance.
For my part, we can share talks about music, history, politics, etc. with some mate or beer in between :) Or also practice some of what is folklore.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I always like to go back to the city with new people, so I can accompany you on a walk through Córdoba, whether museums, parks, etc., or also to some town in the mountains, which are close to the city.
I like to go out and listen to music bands or go to dances, so I can suggest places for you to meet.
