About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore uncharted platforms, live creatively, and marry Jeff Goldblum.

ABOUT ME

I'm a free-roaming wanderer who found a way to do what she loves and live off of it. I'm a photographer by trade and currently a professional freelance model. I am a tornado disguised as a human. Mance Rayder's Road Manager coming in from the wild North. I'm clean and generally busy with work when I come through towns so all I need is a small corner, some water, and occasional foodstuffs to be happy.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to remember it and to learn as much as possible. I would rather fail a thousand times and grow in the process, then succeed once and never try again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am generally on the road with work so while it is rare I can host people (until I get back to NY then it can be game on!), I can cook, and clean, and pet your animals, and talk to your mother for you if you have been dreading doing it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had unofficial couchsurfing experiences- a lot of the photographers and friends I have been lucky enough to stay with in my travels belong to this lovely site and every experience has been awesome so far.

Interests

I'm a hooping freelance art model and photographer that is constantly on the road. I'm interested in art, the intersection of lives, Jeff Goldblum, learning about other cultures and people, burning things down (Burning Man- I'm not an arsonist I promise!), and Star Wars.

Music, Movies, and Books

Einstein's Dreams by Allen Lightman. The Pornographer's Poem by Michael Turner. A Song of Fire and Ice (Series) by George RR Martin. Just Kids by Patti Smith. Out of the Silent Planet Trilogy by CS Lewis. Star Wars (Original Trilogy. If I have to include the prequels then I say Machete Style). Jurassic Park. Twister. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Labyrinth. The Heathers.
Music. Well. Music is all over the place. There are very few things that I don't like musically but when I do dislike something it is with the fire of a thousand suns. I used to follow The Disco Biscuits, Phish, and String Cheese Incident on tour back in the day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Convinced my college to send me to Burning Man my freshman year and then lost a 700 lb sculpture out there. I have been all over the world (sort of, still working on some places), met tons of people, shared many laughs and tears. I've hung from buildings just because and made my life into living art because it felt right. I used to follow bands on tour and speak to those in their highest and lowest points in time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a bunch about photography, writing, grant writing, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, cooking, surviving out of your car on the road, computers, and have a weird amount of random things stuck up in my head that come out from time to time.
I would love to learn other artistic processes from people, further survival training, or just honestly about the culture you were raised in.
