A 24 year old grad student from Amsterdam with an open minded outlook on the world. Last year I lived in Berlin and now I live in Berkeley, California.

Don´t let fear stand in the way of exploring the world. Curiosity is one of the most amazing parts of being human and it deserves to be stimulated and satisfied.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So far I´ve only hosted. As I like like to travel, I look forward to surf as well and to get to know other couchsurfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don´t have much experience myself, but all the couchsurfers I met through friends have always been nice and fun people to get to now.

Interests

I like music. For dancing I like techno, I play rock and pop on my guitar and bass and to relax I listen to classical music. When I travel I like the fact that it enables you to learn new things about cultures and people. Architecture, art and food are things that I especially like to explore. The sports I like are running, cycling and (indoor) climbing and bouldering.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

How can you pick one thing when every day contains something amazing? But if I have to choose:
Every year numerous music and art festivals are held throughout the world. For a few days, erveryone who participates forgets their daily life and becomes a part of a bigger group, living in the moment and sharing the joy of collectively enjoying beauty. This, for me, is truly amazing and the reason I´m addicted to festivals.

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know that when eating pistacio nuts you can use half a shell as a lever to open another nut? This way, your thumbs won´t hurt and you can even eat the ones that are difficult to open. YumYumYum :)
