Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately from September 2013 to August 2014 I will be travelling, using my parents house as a base, so I will not be able to host anyone. Looking now to learn how it all works so hopefully I can host people when I move back out.

Travelling, of course! Otherwise: reading about science, travel and history, learning and playing around with languages, improving my and experimenting with cooking, and a recent addition is chinese sword fighting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - Currently reading about the history of the Israel/Arab conflict in preparation for a trip to that area. Trying to become cultured and read fiction, rather than always non fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have walked from the mainland of the Netherlands to an island along the bottom of an empty sea. When I got to the island my shoe had been invaded by snails.

Teach, Learn, Share

My speciality is physics, and I have some general knowledge of chemistry and biology. Unfortunately, that's it! The only other "skills" I have on offer, if one can call them that, are being a native English speaker and speaking level B1 (Netherlands) Dutch.

I would love in particular to be taught more about languages or linguistics, but I am always excited to have knowledge imparted upon me in more or less any subject area!
