About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To embrace the Good Crazy behind the wheel of a pick-up truck; seeking Water At The Well and writing it down when the bucket is full. I need other humans and their stories for all of this.

ABOUT ME

A traveling scribe with a taste for gin and Henry Miller. Slightly mad. Mildly obsessed with her turquoise1994 Ford Ranger XLT, Daniel.
A lover of people and the words that come out of their mouths. Known giver of hugs, strange advice and unfiltered observations concerning the world. A collector of things who gave all her things away.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live.
It is easy to be miserable - but to be miserable is misery. Live who you are, as you are, while you can.
Embrace the hardship. Embrace vice.

Language should make us all into wild dogs, and I seek to find words everywhere through everyone. Be obscene but not crass for we are animals and nature is a whore. It's beautiful. It's healthy.

"I have no money, no resources, no hopes. I am the happiest man alive." - Henry Miller

You meet people precisely where you meet them and nowhere else.

Interests

Writing, reading, thumb-twiddling, talking to strangers, walks along wharfs and other ugly places, making a truck-hood hammock, gin and soda with a twist of lime, obsessive pacing, laughing at my own jokes in my own head, vegetables, sheep (as well as elk, moose and deer), tattoos, Ford trucks, Marlboro Smooths, adjectives, catastrophic life decisions, love

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Here are three:
- Had a spectacular love affair that ended in perfect tragedy. Drained it dry with writing.

- Cleared out a 1300 sq ft apartment. Gave away possessions. Bought a truck.

- Once laid on said truck's truck-hood with a French-Canadian stranger down by the Ohio River until 5 am. Accidentally locked the keys in the cab. Called Pop-a-Lock and fell asleep on the hood together waiting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am well-read, a word-whore and more than willing to move furniture, paint walls, change bandages, sheer sheep, cuddle and make biscuits.
And we will talk and you can put your words all over my ears and I promise to look you in the eye and only mention the weather if I think the clouds look particularly striking.
