About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To play my part in building a more socially and environmentally sustainable world to live in.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently wandering through Europe.

I work as a cultural anthropologist and my passion lies in researching social movements and grass-roots politics. I'm finding more and more that this interest is shaping the way I travel, the things I find meaning in and the relationships that I form.

I am a very open minded, friendly and respectful guy. I enjoy breaking out of my comfort zone and bumping into new people and challenges.

PHILOSOPHY

Every day is a school day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am hoping to use couch surfing to meet new people and borrow a local's eyes for a little while.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm just beginning to get involved. I finish this trip in January 2014, but will be moving to the other side of Australia when I get back. I look forward to hosting in Melbourne.

Interests

When I'm home I enjoy SCUBA Diving, tinkering with motorcycles and spending a bit of time in the bush.

I'm not much of a night-clubber, but I love to share a friendly drink or ten with good friends and strangers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every trip teaches you a little bit about yourself. I spent a few months traveling around Australia by motorbike and sleeping under the stars. It was the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you a cool trick for getting two bowls into the microwave. I can also teach you how to open a beer with just about anything (not valuable) lying around the house.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cambodia, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Turkey
