ABOUT ME

I love learning new things. Over the past 9 months of traveling, I've been lucky enough to volunteer on several organic farms and learn amazing things about topics as diverse as permaculture and natural building to goatherding.

I love to read. Some of my favorite authors are Michael Chabon, Cormac McCarthy, Barbara Kingsolver, Jose Saramago and Ernest Hemingway. Some of my favorite poets are Nicanorr Parra, Sharon Olds, Tony Hoagland and Frank O'Hara.

I also really like alcohol. In that, I both like to drink it while hanging out and having a good time with friends, but also in that I like the taste of really good alcohol. Back home in the states, I drink a lot of good bourbon and craft beer. On this trip, I have enjoyed trying the various drinks specific to the countries that I am in. Now that I'm in Peru, I'm still searching for a really good pisco sour.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was on a traditional farm in Jujuy, Argentina for their Day of the Dead ceremonies and was able to participate and share in them. Incredible.
