Hello friend :) Before I go any further, I'd like to share something with you : I'd like to share my opinion about this site and how it should not be used. Couchsurfing is a wonderful place, but it is not a dating site to find a f*** buddy. Sadly, too many people join us in this community for the wrong reasons, giving it a bad reputation. I am not part of them. That being said, I am now officially done whining :P

WHY I'M HERE

To meet new people and learn about different cultures. To travel and see the world from a different perspective.

ABOUT ME

I believe people are all very interesting and knowledgeable in their own way about life. I enjoy hearing their stories and I like to share mine. In this process of sharing, I am able to better understand who I am and grow from it. Getting the chance to do that with couchsurfing.com is simply amazing.

I'm a filmmaker, photographer, music composer and sound engineer from Canada, Québec. I run a modest recording studio for living and I shoot promotional videos and stills for artists and businesses. I really enjoy anything related to arts :)

Since traveling is my passion, I made it a personal goal to go on an adventure each year and shoot a cool video. I want to go everywhere in the world, mostly in places where I can see nature, wildlife, and meet interesting, open-minded and respectful people.

I am a polite and respectful person. I'm also very clean ! If you wish to be hosted here, you must also be clean, polite and respectful. I work from home, so please let me know well in advance if you wish to stop by. I will always do my best to accommodate you. When I'm travelling, If you ever let me sleep on your couch or your floor I would really appreciate it and would not cause any trouble. I can make myself quiet or hang out with you, depending on your availabilities as a host or guest (would definitely love to hang out with you !). If one day you host me, I'll be happy to help with anything you want like cleaning, cooking, repairing, building.. anything I can do to help. When I travel I only have a backpack, so don't worry about getting your place packed with luggage. If you wish to be hosted here, you must send me a private message with the title : Host me Francis ! If I don't see this in your title, I will not host you.

Live and let live, be open minded and be happy no matter what it takes. Don't focus on money or material, for they will not bring you happiness. Be kind and respectful, be willing to help. Give love, always.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love this site. I like the fact that it helps people with tight budgets to travel the world. I like the way it reunites all human beings by re-establishing a sense a community all across the globe.

By the way, I'm also open to project ideas and collaborations.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'll give you three :)

~ Hiking the Kalalau trail in Kauai, in and out, in 2 days. If you do this and survive (lol), please tell me your story !!

~ Deep diving in tropical waters. It's a great experience. Diving is definitely one of my passions.

~ My 14 yr old daughter Mélodie. She's the most important person in my life. I am a single dad, so we have a lot of time to hang out. She likes to sing too. Here's a cute song she recorded in my studio :
