About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn about the world through it's endlessly unique people and places. And to enrich my soul through traveling the world. To meet new souls and connect and share.

ABOUT ME

Outgoing, openhearted, adventurous, caring and social traveller of the world. I have a huge passion for the environment and doing my part to help others. I love discovering new cultures and ways of life, which is why I love travel so much. I am an environmental activist and campaigner, I work with a lot of different organisations around Australia. I'm primarily vegan (with the understanding that many people have different eating choices and that's okay)

PHILOSOPHY

To give out the energy that I want to receive and to be open to everyone I meet. I care for the environment and believe that everything happens for a reason.

“You cannot protect yourself from sadness without protecting yourself from happiness.” - Jonathan Safran Foer

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have been hosting for a few years and meeting couchsurfers all over the world in different countries. So many friends and beautiful experiences.

I have couchsurfed through Europe and stayed with different people in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Holland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had many different couchsurfers stay in my time living in Melbourne, been on big adventures and formed wonderful friendships. It's the best way to live.

Interests

I study international development and environmental sustainability at University, do environmental campaign work, I'm working on setting up a community garden with a group of beautiful friends at the moment, I cycle everywhere and discover new places around where I live when I have the time, I like to skate, drink red wine and cook big delicious vegetarian meals!

I also have a huge passion for community and love getting involved with the beautiful people that have such passion for those around them.

I love music, food and relaxed evening meals with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would have to say that the most amazing thing I've seen was when I watched the Southern Lights from my home in Tasmania at a young age. The vivid colours and the way the light reflects on the sky, it's inexplicable.

I suggest getting a tent, finding your way to Tasmania (or Finland for the Northern Lights) and seeing this as soon as you see fit)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a huge knowledge of the outdoors from my work in the industry and can easily teach on how to use different equipment correctly or even just tips on travelling and hiking and things that are useful. How to properly fit a backpack etc...

I have learnt a lot of skills relating to activism and NVDA (Nonviolent direct action) and with organising and campaigning for environmental groups.

I'm learning a lot about gardening, the earth, planting, composting and permaculture at the moment. This is a huge passion of mine. I also have chickens and a worm farm.

I have played football for many years and love to play with anyone I can. And Frisbee! Frisbee is great.

I love board games and I make really good tea.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an amazing vegan cook, know heaps about creating organic garden systems, composting, bikes, building from recycled and scrap materials.

I'm good at cards, telling stories, having a big chat over a meal about the world, travels and experiences.
