About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take the road less traveled. Be open, curious, respectful, and have a good time.

ABOUT ME

I am in my late-twenties with a love to travel and desire to go to every corner of the world. For the past two years I have been working and living in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, right on the border on the northwest/northeast side of the island (depending how you look at it).

I would consider myself pretty open, chill, and up for a good time! Always down for an adventure, interesting convo, or get-together.

PHILOSOPHY

Curiosity + Empathy = Peace

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couch surf-ed before, and also hosted. Right now I live in a studio with no couch - so cannot host at the moment - but am still open to meeting up if you are in the area! Feel free to message me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had only good experiences as a couch-surfer, both as a host and guest. I've also met fellow couchsurfers and made unforgettable memories. I really do love couch-surfing because you get to experience the local lay of the land and meet people who you would never otherwise meet, which more often than not ends up being pretty incredible and inspiring! Thank you to everyone who has opened their door to me!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love some good local tunes wherever I am. So that means Bachata and Konpa music at the moment. Although admittedly my D.C. roots are usually my go-to. Tbh, I'm pretty bad with pop-culture - but right now Black Mirror is a really good tv show, I am currently reading books centered around DR-Haiti history, and I watch a lot of Mexican movies for Spanish practice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

snorkeling with whale sharks in Mozambique comes to mind... I also recently backpacked around Haiti which was pretty amazing.. and.. I learned Creole!
