About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn and grow while making friends and having fun!

ABOUT ME

I'm a Portland, Oregon native who transplanted to DC on a whim. I'm learning to talk faster, walk faster, and get around town without relying on my phone.
I like books, bikes, music, coffee and deer trails through dense forests.
Someday I'd love to work alongside coffee growing communities in addressing needs like food security, education, and other quality of life issues as well as improve coffee quality and sustainability practices.
In the meantime I'm working as a barista and pretending I care about politics.

PHILOSOPHY

In progress... However, in a general sense I'm seeking contentment and harmony in my values and actions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm hoping to surf some couches for a time until my living situation allows me to reciprocate for my fellow travelers.

I showed a couple folks around my hometown and had a blast. Once I'm more established here I'd love to do that again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very little, so far. Mostly stayed with friends and family up and down the West Coast on road trips.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have looked down and across the Grand Canyon, and I still cannot fathom the vastness of it. I've also snuggled up inside a Redwood stump.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a fair to middling guitar player and I know quite a bit about coffee.
I'd like to learn more about organic farming, as well as becoming more confident as a hiker and backpacker. I want to eventually do some extended hikes like the Appalachian or Long Trail.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll cook you some brekkie and brew you a killer Chemex in the morning.
