Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have knew about CS for a long time when I was in China, but at that time I didn't know how to log in it since I was only an beginner of English language but I did wanna participate in this group. And finally I have chance to go USA and join this group. Now I am also a beginner of couch surfing and I hope to get experience and meet people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first surfing was in Buffalo during Oct.5 to Oct.7. It was really a great experience. I met my host Larry, a very friendly and knowledgeable man, and another surfer Kim, a active and smart guy from Kenya. I had a really great time in Buffalo, it really made me fall in love with couch surfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

in May 2012, I went to Xi'an City in northwestern China form Chongqing in southwestern China alone. The train trip is 14 hours. At 1 am I finally got to Xi'an railway station. And I had a break in McDonald's and went to Hukou Falls which is 500 miles away, also alone. But I met 2 guys from Taiwan and we talked a lot. It's my fist time to travel alone and get perfect experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Spend more time with your host, that will makes you know more the local culture, stories and history. Try more local food rather than strain food restaurants. Try to donate some for the free and good museums.
