ABOUT ME

We were born and raised in Northern California. We have been married since 2012, but started dating in high school. We love traveling and trying new foods. Currently, we live in Sacramento, but are going to be traveling around the world and look forward to meeting new people.

I am an open-minded and naturally curious person. I love learning new things and new experiences. I come off as a little introverted at first, but I am very open once I get to know you.

Monet
I am a very adventures person. I've always been interested in traveling the world and experiencing new cultures. I want to explore all the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes that the world has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A couple years ago, we decided to quit our jobs and travel the world. We found out about couch surfing and thought it was a great way to see and learn more about the local cultures. We were fortunate enough to have stayed with and met some amazing people. Couchsurfing has been an amazing experience.

Interests

Matt
I love trying new things. I'm always finding a new hobby, but my main passion is food, traveling, photography, and beer. I am a homebrewer, so I am always down for a beer. I also like to cook, but don't know many of my own recipes. I do follow directions well though.

Monet
I love animals, especially cats. I like photography and trying new foods. I want to capture special moments to share with friends and family.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Went to the village my grandparents came from with my entire family in Taishan, China to visit distant relatives and they had a big celebration for us with a parade and a banquet meal. It was a very humbling experience.
-Cliff jumping in Santorini, Greece.
-Rode elephants in Chiang Mai
-Got in a cage with Tigers in Chiang Mai
-Rode a camel in the Sahara in Morocco
-Went on a safari in Kruger, South Africa
-Quit our jobs to travel the world.
