About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much as a can. Life is short.

ABOUT ME

Proud Buckeye at OSU studying Anthropological Sciences. Foodie, geek, warrior chic. Finally giving in to my wanderlust. I feel like an old soul in modern times. Give me a victorian house with wood and leather, filled with antiques, oddities, and books, and I would be happy for life. I'm a twin, but he is a red-bearded viking, so you wouldn't guess we were twins. I had a passport when I was 7 days old. I can be quiet at first but once I get going I am full of puns and awesome random facts.

PHILOSOPHY

Never settle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Getting friends to join couchsurfing! Also taking advantage of this wonderful site to make some travel plans realities. New housing in July 2015 should allow me to FINALLY host =D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have surfed in MA, PA, and Toronto. Hope to be able to host soon.

Interests

I study Anthropology, and LOVE bones.

I also am a foodie and a great cook. Lover of craft beer and good bourbon. I will try almost anything and want to find people to go on food adventures with.

I love finding new things in new cities! The more unknown, the better!

I have 3 tattoos, plans for more.

Have a small oddities collection that I am always seeking to expand.

Antiques and re-use of old materials. Old books, old wood. Stained glass <3

Mountains and forests.

Old Hollywood.

Music, theater, art, literature... really I am at least a little bit interested in everything (silly as that sounds).

Music, Movies, and Books

Really into jazz, classical, and big band music. Janelle Monae, Delta Rae, ZZ Ward, and White Lies seem to be what I'm listening to a lot lately. But really, I like everything but hardcore rap and overly whiny country.

I'm really out of the loop on movies. I probably got to a movie theater only a few times a year. But I am a sucker for musicals, documentaries, and epic sagas. If a movie can either move me or surprise me, then I'll probably like it. Guilty pleasure: Repo! The Genetic Opera.

Books: Read all the things! Fan of everything from Harry Potter, Redwall (guilty pleasure holdover from childhood), to Discworld, the classics, or even thriller novels. Trying to get into autobiographies/biographies. Also a collector of cookbooks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Excavating a 600 year old cemetery in Romania.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will gladly help you improve your skills in the kitchen. Prior to my new anthropology career I worked in the culinary field.

Or if you wanna know all about your skeleton, I can do that too, and tell you about graveyards and burials and mortuary traditions around the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to think I'm an awesome cook, so I will totally help you cook if that is needed. Don't mind helping out with projects either.

I can tell you stories from my adventures.

I have a general knowledge of many things and can always be a listening ear and give you advice on anything.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Canada, Hungary, Romania, United Kingdom
