ABOUT ME

I am a creative and thoughtful soul, taking the opportunity of a lifetime to see the world this year as I study Spanish in Valencia. I want to absorb as much as I possibly can, and contribute to the chaos.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a Seventh-day Adventist, but that's only a small part of who I am.

I believe very strongly that I am meant to connect with others, to give rather than take, and to love in ways that most would call foolish.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still new... missed a chance to surf in London because of changed plans, but looking to add some experience here soon.

Interests

Movies:
Little Miss Sunshine, The Prestige, Amelie, Moonrise Kingdom, The Dark Knight, The Black Swan, The Hobbit, Memento, Inception, Tropa de Elite, anything directed by Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, and anything scored by Hans Zimmer. Also, most of the Pixar movies.

Music:
More recently, EDM, complextro, glitch hop, electric swing. But my range includes classical, jazz, folk, acoustic, Christian, and some metal.

Books:
Hitchhiker's Guide trilogy of five, Pablo Neruda, Donald Miller books, Rob Bell books, Dostoevsky, Newbery Award winners... this is really just a random sample.

TV:
Breaking Bad, Futurama, Mad Men, Adventure Time, Game of Thrones, HIMYM, among others.

Looking to share my knowledge of languages and to learn other ones better. Bonus points if you know Esperanto.

I can also share expertise in Graphic Design, which I've acquired as a freelancer since 2010.
