ABOUT ME

We are Ismael and Marla, a couple from Barcelona (in the north of Spain), who have finished our studies and are taking a year off for travelling around the world. We also are looking for improve our English knowledge and would like to meet new people of foreign countries and its cultures, sharing with them its style of life, picking up some new skills… There are a lot of reasons about travelling, but we think that this would reward us with a deeper and better sense about wonderful people who is all over the world that surely will enrich our lifes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Altough it has been a couple of years since I heard about couchsurfing, I didn't start until last month. Now that we have tried surfing a couple of times during our travel around Scotland and England, in our way back we will go on contributing to this community. So the best way to do that will be receiving guests to our houses and surfing whenever we travel.

Interests

Practising any type of sports, doing outdoor activities, play and take care of animals, cooking, listening music, learning languages like English, German and French, and of course, having fun with friends, are one of the things that we like most. I have 25 years old, I am an Electrical Engineer and in summers work as a fireman for put out forest fires. Last January I had been in Merthyr Tidfil (Cardiff) with a family by workaway, helping them in their farm and hostel. I love practicing sport.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Parachuting in the north of Catalonia, fight against many forest fires as a fireman, see the sunrise from the volcano of Teide in Tenerife and perform Full Monty in a theatre.
