About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Becoming the best version of me I can in this lifetime.

ABOUT ME

I'm a mom of three, a linux enthusiast, and I volunteer with the beagle rescue group.
I'm hard of hearing and learning ASL (sign language).
I enjoy sci-fi fandom (yes, I'm a trekkie, a whovian and I cosplay at conventions - it's so much fun!)
I can crochet.
I can speak some spanish - just enough to get by and get myself into trouble :P
I almost died from a severe head injury at age 20, and now appreciate every single day as a precious gift and opportunity.
I was raised a navy brat, then was a navy wife for many years, divorced and drove big trucks (yes, the 40ton, 18wheels & 13 gears type of big truck) for a few years, so I've lived or seen much of the USA.
I used to live on Kaua'i and graduated from high school there. I can hula (for real kine! not touristy stuff) and play ukulele and sing in Hawaiian.

PHILOSOPHY

Be the best person you can be, help others to do the same. Love, live, laugh, be kind, compassionate, and non-violent. Be excellent to each other, and party on, dude!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None on this site yet, but plenty among friends over the years. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all the geeky movies and books. I love all types of music except gangsta rap and anything with screaming.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to 47 states. Maine, New Hampshire, and Alaska are still on my bucket list.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning from and sharing with pretty much everyone.
