ABOUT ME

I seek out humor and meaning in travel and life experiences. I enjoy getting to know people and their perspectives on life. Despite what my parents told me, I often talk with strangers andtheory spontenaiety in life. Most times I am laughing or smiling at something real or imagined. Most people describe me as outgoing, friendly, and funny. I can also be sarcastic and smirky. I'm gay, so be cool with that.

PHILOSOPHY

To enjoy life and all it has to offer, meet new people and friends, have new experiences & learn about different cultures. Honesty, compassion, and insight makes life interesting. Deciding what to be and in pursuit of being.

Interests

For the past few years I've worked with teenagers and families in a nonprofit setting, facilitate LGBTQ support groups for youth, and also work in real estate. After finishing grad school this May, I would like to continue to traveling and learning Spanish in Costa Rica and Mexico. My time is spent reading, kayaking, running, biking, spending time with friends, engaging in spontaneous travel and adventure, photography, yoga and thinking. I am a very social person who also enjoys moments and periods of calm. Love live music, art of all kinds, and interesting conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot of books about therapy, mediation, and travel. My music interests change frequently, but major players are The Avett Brothers, Fiona Apple, Jukebox The Ghost, Walk The Moon, Andrew Bird, Hot Chip, Dragonette.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing to the top of Teotihuacan in Mexico, an incredible experience. Swimming on the beautiful beaches of the Algarve in the South of Portugal. Growing up in Wisconsin and trying every variety of cheese possible.
