About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I love to travel and to meet new people. I just want to learn and teach and experience life.

ABOUT ME

I recently moved from Oklahoma to Vegas for work. Kendall and I both help to manage my father's psychiatric practice. We work in various offices around the metro area, as well as from home. Luckily our jobs afford us plenty of time to travel!

PHILOSOPHY

"Bad biscuits make the baker broke, bro."

"Kiss lots of boys; or kiss lots of girls, if that's something you're into."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm probably going to be mostly participating on the hosting end, but I like to stay with locals when I travel.

While it says I've only stayed with one host when traveling, that's more to do with the fact that we often use Kendall's profile to surf and mine to host. It is our experience that hosts are more apt to respond to the requests of a lady than of a man.

Just a few quick rules:
1) I get a lot of requests, so please send me an actual request as opposed to a personal message (PM). I use a calendar to track when I'm hosting guests, and it's more difficult to manage when I get personal messages that are actually requests. Also, since they've changed the response rate rating system, I have to answer with a "yes, no, or maybe" for the response to count. That's not possible unless you send an actual request.

2) Please don't ask me to pick you up from the airport. I have a job, and I don't live particularly close to the airport. There are busses, taxis, Uber, and Lyft. All of which are fairly affordable ways to make it to my home. It's not that I personally don't want to get you; I do. I just can't afford the time and effort for everyone. If you need some help with buss passes or anything else, just let me know, and I'll be happy to send you some info. To be clear, if there is some emergency situation, don't hesitate to let me know. I won't leave you high and dry.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been in several bands, and have often couchsurfed when on tour. And on the flip side, I've hosted several bands at my own house. I always enjoy meeting new friends, even if for just a night, but I find that I usually end up making lasting connections.

Since I started my profile, I think I can safely say we've had at least 100 folks come through our place. Tons of fun!!

Interests

I like to hike, camp, bike, sail, climb, read, drink, watch cartoons, write, travel, cook, eat, and play music.

Music, Movies, and Books

Way too many to even begin... I'm a huge dork, but I like just about everything but autobiographies, and radio rap & radio country

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a lot about music, philosophy, cooking, etc..

What I Can Share with Hosts

Our home and it's amenities (bed, bathroom, kitchen, wifi, jacuzzi, pool, parking, etc..) and an alternative perspective on the place you're visiting--Vegas at the moment. I like to find all the weird stuff that a place has to offer, so ask me and I'll fill you in.

Otherwise, I'll pretty much share anything with you long as you're respectful and responsible.
